On the way to Agua Azul we feel already that we are entering the tropical area.

Agua Azul.

The best time to see the water falls is in spring. Then they have that beautiful aquamarine colour. Now (July) it is rain season, therefore by all those the mud flows the water has coloured brown.

Under a photograph as it looks in spring.

Agua Azul is quite large. I walked for a long time along the water fall. According to Vicky we had stop as soon as we encounter the sign BANDIDOS. If you walk further it can become dangerous. But after 45 minus of walking we still didn't encounter the sign. Given the time we had to turn back.

The 35 meters high water fall called Misol-Ha.

In the far distance see you a cave. Here is the underground waterfall, that I have also seen. It should swarm of the bats. However I have not seen them. It was of course very, very dark. A guide had a flashlight. I wanted to make a photo of the water fall, but me camera refused. Just then when I came outside of the cave it worked again. It was there simply too wet and too warm.

Hotel Plaza Palenque.

At the moment of arrival it started to rain very hard.
